5 Reasons to See a Chiropractor

Doctors of chiropractic, or DCs are trained healthcare professionals who diagnose and treat neuromuscular disorders. Do not neglect the spine because not taking care of it may lead to chronic rear back pain, neck pain, and headaches. These are common reasons to see a chiropractor.

The treatment at a chiropractor usually includes spinal manipulation therapy, massage, heat and ice therapy, and exercise. If you experience constant back and neck aches, it may be time to schedule an appointment with a chiropractor.

Talk to your OB/GYN before beginning chiropractic care during pregnancy. You may not need chiropractic care as long as you are a healthy individual. Getting regular chiropractic care during pregnancy might allow you to deliver your baby more easily and safely.

5. Sports Performance

Sports affect the body from head to toe, inside and out. From the hard hits sustained in football to the increased stress on joints during gymnastics to the repeated motions of a baseball pitcher, athletes in all sports can expect a great amount of distress on their bodies.

Because of this, chiropractic treatments such as soft tissue therapy, manipulation, and stretching are used in the treatment of athletes on both the amateur and professional levels. In fact, most, if not all, professional sports teams include chiropractic care in their regular course training.
